Marian Y. Woods, MBA, is an author, speaker, thought leader, producer, and global corporate executive with over thirty years of business experience in human resource management, leadership development, and business transformation. She worked as senior-level human resources professional for such Fortune 500 companies as AT&T, Verizon, and The Hartford. Marian served as the Commissioner of Human Resources for the City of Atlanta and a member of Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms’ Cabinet. In addition, Marian serves as a Chief Human Resources Officer in the affordable housing industry.

Marian is a Leadership Atlanta alum member of The Class of 2017. She previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Fulton County Boys & Girls Clubs. She is the Past President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) – MECCA Chapter and served as the NCBW National Third Vice President of Membership and Chapter Development. Marian is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Marian was honored by the National Diversity Council as one of Georgia’s Most Powerful & Influential Women. Also, RollingOut Magazine recognized her as one of Atlanta’s Female Success Factor Top 25 Women, and she was one of the Forty Female Powerhouses featured in the twelfth edition of Who’s Who in Black Atlanta. Additionally, Marian was recognized at the ONCON ICON Awards ceremony as a worldwide 2023 Winner of the Top 100 Human Resources Professionals Award.
